I’ve had the flu for the last three days and being stuck at home and being forced to stop for the first time in a long while has really made me think. It’s made me think about how I take care of myself and my body. We often take our bodies and health for granted. It’s true, our bodies are like temples. They’re sacred and precious entities. When something is not right within you energetically or physically, it’s time to stop, reflect, mend and move forward. Until you devote some time to nurturing yourself, you won’t be able to perform to your full potential.
Sickness is not a sign of weakness. It is normal. It is simply being human. It is only natural. It’s important however for us to stay in tune with ourselves and our personal needs. Your thoughts, energy and emotions affect your health and body’s wisdom in so many ways. Heal the chaos inside you by taking some time out.
Your body loves you. Love it back! What’s your body telling you today? What’s your mind tell you today? Do you need to stop and take a break? Go on, listen to your needs and take care of yourself.
