We are all human. We make mistakes. We beat ourselves up. We live and learn. We sometimes fail. We often fall. We have fears. We experience sadness. We lack motivation. We think we are lost. We break promises. We are not perfect. Not now, not ever. We will never be perfect. Perfection doesn’t exist.
What keeps us connected to ourselves is our hearts. Our feelings. Our capacity to feel is infinite. We know the truth by the way it feels. Whatever that ‘it’ maybe.
Some days are rough. We feel disconnected. We experience the rawness. We are wounded. We can see the scars and the sight ain’t that pretty. We question everything. We fear the unknown. These days are difficult. Not only challenging, but also uncertain. So how do we feel connected again?
Well, let’s start by taking a moment. A moment to feel present. A moment to see where we are. A moment to check in on how we are. A moment to observe what is happening around us. A moment to focus on our breath. We are guided by our beating hearts. Because in every heartbeat, in every moment, life changes and evolves. This realisation is powerful. This realisation dictates how we move forward. This realisation is the truth. This brings us back to the present. It brings us back to ourselves. It brings us back to our power.
The simplicity of our existence is something that we don’t ponder about often enough. Everything is simple. Truly simple. However, we are so carried away with what is happening in our lives and wanting to control circumstances that we forget to stay connected with simplicity and as a result life gets complicated.
We don’t know where the journey is going to go or where this journey will end. What we do know is that there is light. There is possibility. There is change. There is the next moment.
